Victoria Beckham is getting rid of her wardrobe?! Fret not, the fashionista has not lost her mind—the designer is selling 600 pieces of her actual wardrobe to help the mothers2mothers charity, which helps eliminate the transmission of HIV and AIDS between mothers and their unborn children.
The Posh Girl shared a pic with some of the mothers that the charity helps, writing, “Proceeds from my #VBxTHEOUTNET sale will support @M2MTweets in their mission to end mother-to-child HIV transmission.”
The sale takes place on Net-A-Porter’s outlet site, TheOutnet.com, from Aug. 20-25. The charity was started by Annie Lennox’s husband, gynecologist Dr. Mitch Besser, and is aided by fellow fashionable A listers Anna Wintour and Stella McCartney.
Apparently the mother of four was inspired to help after visiting South Africa earlier this year, when she met with some of the women affected by the disease. Kudos to you Lady B!

Victoria Beckham may have a long list off fans including celeb clients Cameron Diaz, Blake Lively, Anne Hathaway—but don’t count designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana as two of them. While at the Glamour of Italian Fashion, a new exhibition at the Victoria & Albert Museum, the designing duo praised England’s “cool” style—but took the opportunity to slam Victoria Beckham.
Gabbana said the former Spice Girl-turned-designer had only turned to the fashion world after doing, “many, many, many different things.”
Interestingly enough, Victoria was once the ambassador for the Italian fashion house—so something must have gone during their partnership. Gabbana continued, “she’s a designer but…for us, she don’t make (clothes) the same way like a fashion designer.”
Dolce also chimed in on the verbal bashing when he grouped Beckham’s designs with mainstream retailers such as Zara and H&M.
Being disliked by the designers probably won’t touch Posh’s prestige too much. In 2011, Mrs. Beckham beat out both Stella McCartney and Tom Ford to win Designer of the Year at the British Fashion Awards. The 39-year-old was named one of the UK’s most influential women in BBC Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour 2013 Power List.

While her time at New York Fashion Week has come to a close in an official capacity—Victoria Beckham is a fashionista on any New York street appears on.
On Monday, the Spice Girl-turned-designer ditched her usual tight frocks for slim black pants, and oversized wool winter coat by her own design and flats. FLATS?! We could have sworn she sleeps in heels! The mom of four was photographed wearing black and white, two-toned lace-up oxfords by Saint Laurent ($790) as she returned to her hotel during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.
This definitely isn’t her usually bodycon—style and we like the masculine touches on the very feminine beauty.
According to Fashionista.com, the designer spoke to the Parsons’ Dean of Fashion, Simon Collins in front of a crowd of 800 about her latest collection.
“I’d love to do menswear at some point, absolutely,’ she said. “I get very inspired by menswear — [my spring 2014 collection] was very inspired by men’s tailoring, and there’s the boy-meets-girl fashion message throughout the whole collection,” the 39-year-old said on Sunday night.
With this menswear-inspired look, it appears as though she is definitely taking a page from her own fashion book!
On Tuesday, the slim stunner opted for a white kilt, a burgundy cashmere sweater and matching red pumps. The Brit had been doing a bit of shopping at Comme des Garcons before leaving NYC for her London home. The star who is widely known for very fitted silhouettes—is definitely trying something new this A-line white look.
We can’t wait to see what else is in store for the oh-so-posh lady!

Appearances may be deceiving. To the outside world—popstar-turned-designer Victoria Beckham looks like she has glided her way into her charmed life. But the former Spice Girl has finally opened up on her struggle to become a well known and well-respected fashion designer. In a new collaborative documentary with Skype, entitled “Five Years: The Victoria Beckham Fashion Story,” David Beckham’s lady love reveals what it took to become accepted in the cut-throat fashion world.
“I was a Spice Girl married to a footballer, I was trying to do something that no-one had really done before,” she said. “I’ve always had to work hard for everything.”
And work hard she did. With all the attention to detail, she has earned the respect of the world’s most stylish tastemakers such as Vogue UK editor Alexandra Shulman, who says: “I think she has proven herself to have a really successful fashion brand. I don’t think there is anybody that would doubt that.”
At the 2011 British Fashion Awards, Victoria says she was inspired watching her mom Jackie when she was a child, saying: ‘‘I’ve always loved fashion and I was that kid who used to watch my mum get ready and just think ‘wow you look amazing.’”
And while you would think that the oh-so-posh designer’s life looks like glittering and glamorous parties night after night—the 39-year-old mother of four paints a very different portrait of her life as a career woman, admitting that she spends most evenings, “curled up in front of Skype speaking with my studio in London - but I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
At one point in the doc, Victoria Beckham CEO Zach Duane tells the cameras: “We have now created something that is meaningful and that people are paying attention to. Once you know the story behind anything it’s more compelling to connect with.”
And compelling it is! From her flawless style, to her amazing body and picture perfect family—we are completely enthralled by all that is Victoria Beckham—and we love this rare glimpse at her fabulous life!
